Chloé Marie is a French-American artist who has been living between Texas, Montana & New Mexico.
Appreciative of nature and the landscape of the West, C.M.’s work is founded on simplicity but detailed and colorful pictures.
C.M. has been making art since a young age. After an education/career detour studying fashion in London and Paris and working for Christian Dior Couture alongside with John Galliano for a couple of years, she decided to dedicate herself to her first passion, painting.
Born and raised in France, growing up in the country side in her ancestral family home, surrounded by horses and riding, her work is inspired by her daily life.
Especially attracted to the history of the American West, C.M.’s work has been finding its true purpose in keeping the Old West and its ways alive with her paintings.
Through a life long experience with horses and years of working alongside cowboys, studying history but mostly stories of the West, Chloé Marie has sourced her inspiration in various fields which can be seen in the evolution of her style over the years, giving her work a classic feel, that can be traced back to the foundation that studying the Old Masters gave her in the early years.
Chloé Marie is a self-taught artist who is interested in depicting and honoring the people and land of the Old West with a folk eye and a modern touch.
